Seller's description

Premium wedding confetti - freeze-dried hydrangea petals are super light-weight with a larger petal size, and are incredibly multi-functional making them equally perfect for venue decoration or throwing confetti.

An elegant confetti that makes the perfect accompaniment for your big day.

Perfect for use as table decoration, pathway / aisle scattering, flower girl baskets, throwing confetti.

These are real dried petals. The petals are 100% natural, the colours are natural (no dye added) and the confetti is naturally perfumed. They're better for the environment an are generally accepted by churches / venues - 100% natural & biodegradable.

Our freeze-dried petals are a premium confetti petal. There's a lot of skill, care and hard work goes into producing them. The flowers take many months of care to grow. The petals are then harvested by hand to prevent damage as much as possible. After the petals have been picked, the freeze-drying process begins. The petals go into freeze dryers and all the moisture is removed from the petals whilst they are frozen. This part of the process takes several weeks to complete.

The process of freeze-drying produces fantastic results with petals that don't shrink, they retain their shape, and their stunning, natural colours. They almost appear like fresh petals ... but you don't have to worry about a last-minute delivery and they don't need to be refrigerated. Making them more convenient & less stressful!

....VOLUME OF PETALS....
The petals are measured in litres.
They're measured in a good old fashioned kitchen measuring jug ... loosely filled with petals to the 1/2 litre or 1 litre mark (they are not pressed down as this will damage the petals) and gently tipped into its packaging ready for dispatch.

Why are they measured in litres rather than weight?
Petals vary in weight depending on the petal type and their size - plus other factors can influence the weight too, so volume is a much more reliable measurement.

....HANDY HINTS....

Table decoration:
1 litre of petals will create a light sprinkling over 2-3 tables seating around 8-10 guests
depending on how generous you want to be.

Flower girl basket:
Approx 1-2 litres depending on the distance she'll be scattering petals over.

Aisle scattering:
For a light sprinkling each side of aisle allow around 1 litre per metre.
For a heavier sprinkling each side of the aisle allow around 2 litres per metre.

Throwing confetti:
1 litre of petals will fill 10 standard-size confetti cones or provide 6-8 handfuls.

....STORAGE OF PETALS....
In many cases, dried petal confetti can keep for up to one year (or longer) provided they are stored carefully. The exception to this is the freeze-dried petals - they are much more susceptible to the biodegrading process, so we wouldn't recommend you purchase these too far in advance. We usually recommend you purchase for delivery around 2-4 weeks prior to your wedding/event date. If you have your petals delivered further ahead, you may find you experience some deterioration of your petals, in particular, the colour.
The petals must be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. The light will fade your petals and heat, humidity and moisture will encourage the biodegrading process.
