Two sets of salesman haberdashery samples from W.Multaler, dating to the early 1920s.

The first set has two pieces, both with original labels and attached to its card.
The smaller piece measures 9cm x 14cm.
The large panel 34cm x 20cm.
The largest piece has some breaks to its edge, but still very usable.
These samples are a blend of silk chainstitch and a couched twisted straw fibre to create the circular motifs.

The second set includes 4 samples, 3 of which measure 12cm x 12cm and then a larger, measuring 20cm x 15cm.
Each of these have patches of silk, edged with couched fine straw, then silk embroidery detail.
