Exquisite antique Chinese Manchurian, Mongolian bead bracelets. The Manchu were responsible for the Qing Dynasty, after conquering the Ming Dynasty.

On offer is a a pair of carnelian bracelets (1 and 2).

The third coral and silver bracelet (marked number 3.) is available at a discounted price with the purchase of 1 and 2. The intention is to try to keep these exquisite pieces more or less together. These bracelets are way below value and much less than I paid for them years ago.

These are heavy, genuine antique pieces. The beads are strung on wire. It was usual for northern peoples of Chinese Manchurian Mongolia to wear their wealth. These bracelets are probably made up of much, much older beads from various traditional pieces, such as headdresses, over the centuries.

The beads are silver with silver filigree and enamelled silver bead caps. The spacers are silver on two and copper on one. The stones are natural coral and carnelian, with one or two looking like pema raka but I cant be sure. There are also two types of mystery beads. It’s possible that the very hard wood looking beads are fossilised wood or pumtek. the black beads are possibly black coral or nuts of some type.

I am a collector of Chinese jewellery. It is with regret that I find it necessary to let go of my collection. Regards Georgina
