The Victorian era is defined by the British monarch, Alexandrina Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, as well as the Empress of India, years 1837-1901. The early, Romantic period was soaked in traditions, clear stones only being worn during the day and colored gems by night. The Mourning period, which coincides with the death of Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, came in December of 1861. This period included large, dark and dramatic jewelry, with black onyx, jet, amethyst, garnet and golds. The aesthetic period began in the 1880s. The Late Victorians utilized more complex and feminine motifs, including many floral and celestial designs, with more decadent stones, such as sapphire, ruby, zircon, and diamonds. The Victorian era of jewelry includes many design movements, such as the Etruscan, Egyptian, Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts.

To initiate a return, the buyer must contact us within five days of receipt. The item must be returned within 14 days of receipt. Buyer pays return shipping and must include insurance. A tracking number must also be provided. A returned item must be in exact, as-sold condition (no damage, same stones, same size, etc.). Once the item has been received, and we can confirm it is in as-sold condition, buyer will be given a credit for another item within our shop. We do not offer refunds. The offered credit will not include fees our shop cannot recoup. This includes, but is not limited to, shipping and insurance, tax, Etsy fees, re-stocking and credit card fees. Buyer may exchange their purchase one time only. After that, no refunds or credits will be offered for any item/s.
