This easy NO SEW manta ray pattern is sure to make some waves with its immense size (4 feet, or 1.22 m, wide from wing tip to wing tip!) and fun hollow interior that can be used for storing all your stuffies! This pattern includes 1 PDF file with detailed instructions, progress pictures AND video tips on how to crochet this ray.

You can choose if you want to make this mega ray with the mouth open or closed; both versions are completely NO SEW (all pieces are crocheted together, not sewn).

The following crochet stitches are used in this pattern: chain, single crochet, and increase stitch, and slip stitch.

Materials you will need:
• Crochet hook size: 8 mm (US L)
• #7 jumbo weight yarn*: blue (320 yards/293 m) and white (275 yards/251 m)
• Yarn needle (for weaving in yarn tails)
• Scissors
• 35 mm safety eyes
• Poly fiberfill stuffing – optional, only used if choosing to close and stuff your ray

*I used Sweet Snuggles Yarn – 3 skeins of Denim and 2.5 skeins of white. This pattern can be made as written with any yarn weight. The final size will vary based on the yarn and hook you choose.

Final measurement for the manta ray made with #7 jumbo weight yarn will be approximately 4 feet (or 1.22 m) wide.
If you use #6 super bulky weight yarn, the finished ray will be approximately 3 feet (or 92 cm) wide.
If you use #4 medium worsted weight yarn, the finished ray will be approximately 2 feet (or 61 cm) wide.
