Antique Victorian Whitby Jet & Angel Skin Coral High Relief Cameo Brooch

On offer a beautiful antique large Victorian cameo brooch. Oval hand carved Whitby jet, which is oval in form. Set to the centre with a lovely angel skin high relief coral cameo.
Elliptical gilt mount to the reverse with a tube hinge, horizontal pin and 'C' clasp.
Approx 5cm long and approx 4cm width.
The brooch is still in very good condition. There is a little tarnish to the gilt pin mount to the reverse and a few light nibbles.

This brooch is from a collection of jet jewellery that we were very fortunate to obtain from a large Victorian estate in Whitby - the home of Whitby jet.
