The premium brass Dashavatara set represents the ten primary incarnations (avatars) of Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. These avatars are believed to descend to Earth to restore cosmic order. The word "Dashavatara" comes from "dasa," meaning ten, and "avatara," meaning incarnation. Each statue is crafted from brass with detailed work by Indian artisans.

The ten avatars included in the set are:
*Matsya: The fish avatar, who appeared during Satya Yuga to save mankind and the sacred texts from a great flood.
*Kurma: The turtle avatar, who helped the gods and demons churn the ocean of milk to obtain the elixir of
immortality.
*Varaha: The boar avatar, who defeated the demon Hiranyaksha and rescued the Earth from the cosmic ocean.
*Narasimha: The man-lion avatar, who appeared to protect his devotee Prahlada and kill the demon king
Hiranyakashipu.
*Vamana: The dwarf avatar, who tricked the demon king Bali and reclaimed the three worlds for the gods.
*Parashurama: The warrior avatar, who is known for his strength and skill in battle.
*Rama: The prince and king of Ayodhya, known for his righteousness and devotion.
*Balarama: The elder brother of Krishna, often depicted with a plough.
*Krishna: A major deity in Hinduism, revered for his wisdom, love, and divine power.
*Kalki: The future avatar, who is prophesied to appear at the end of Kali Yuga to destroy evil and restore dharma.

*A set of 10 Vishnu Avatars.
Dasavatharam refers to the ten primary (i.e. full or complete) incarnations (avatars) of Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation which has Rigvedic origins. Vishnu is said to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order. The word Dashavatara derives from daśa, meaning 'ten', and avatar (avatāra), roughly equivalent to 'incarnation'.
The list of included avatars varies across sects and regions, particularly in respect to the inclusion of Balarama (brother of Krishna) or Gautama Buddha. Matsya; Kurma; Varaha; Narasimha; Vamana; Parashurama; Rama; Krishna or Balarama; Buddha[note 1] or Krishna; and Kalki. In traditions that omit Krishna, he often replaces Vishnu as the source of all avatars. Some traditions include a regional deity such as Vithoba[9] or Jagannath[6] in penultimate position, replacing Krishna or Buddha. All avatars have appeared except Kalki, who will appear at the end of the Kali Yuga.

Care instructions recommend wiping the idols with a clean, dry cloth and avoiding harsh chemicals or rough surfaces.
