Gourmet Pleco Food: Spirulina & Wood Fiber - Truffula Treats

Item highlights

  • Made to order

Seller's description

Truffula Treats are handmade for sucker-mouth fish that need wood in their diet — especially plecos like Panaque and Bristlenose.

I formulated this blend for my own L144 Bristlenose, Lorax, who’s completely spoiled. It’s the only packaged food I give him.

About the recipe:
Spirulina is the first ingredient. clean, plant-based protein packed with amino acids, vitamins, and carotenoids for color and immune support.
Wood fiber (cellulose) is the second. Essential for digestion and for that constant rasping plecos naturally do on driftwood.

Driftwood is still important, but these treats give your plecos the nutrients and fiber they need in an easy, shelf-stable form. The dehydrated texture stays firm so they can graze over time, just like they would in the wild.

Perfect for:
✔ Royal Pleco (Panaque nigrolineatus)
✔ Blue-eyed Pleco (Panaque cf. armbrusteri)
✔ Titanic Pleco (Panaque schaeferi)
✔ Blue-eyed Panaque (Panaque cochliodon)
✔ Clown Pleco (Panaqolus maccus)
✔ Other Panaqolus species (L002, L169, L306)

This food supports gut health, color, and overall vitality, while keeping water quality stable. Offer with driftwood for the most natural feeding experience.

Delicious Love it

“My bottom feeder is rather shy. He prefers to stay in the shadows when the light is on. I dropped one in front of his cave and he immediately came out and went right over to it. I’m so excited that he was happy to eat these. He hasn’t really been interested in anything I’ve offered him so I’m super excited!!!! Thank you!!!!”
