The product is generally consistent with the photos and descriptions. Upon receiving it, I discovered, to my dismay, that there were quite a few splinters and that the burnt effect tended to leave black marks on contact with skin. I had to very lightly sand the case to remove these splinters and the excess carbon on the surface. The color is slightly lighter now of course, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I am quite satisfied with the final result, but I would have preferred that the finishing touches had been a little more careful before sending.
