This special portrait combines a portrait of a couple of family, surrounding them with their special places and memories.

A beautiful portrait hand cut and printed from lino just for you. Whether a family portrait for Mother's Day or a couple's portrait as an engagement gift, each print is custom made. I work closely with you at every stage to make the best possible print.

Add a high-res digital image to use as Christmas cards, thank yous or invitations.

All I need is several photos to work from! I'd recommend a central photo of the couple/family, photos of special places, photos of pets, hobbies and interests.
I will communicate throughout the process so if more reference pics of ideas are needed, I will ask.

After sketching out the portrait, I use Pfeil tools to carve the lino block. This is then printed using professional quality Cranfield Caligo inks.

Step 1 - Design Process. This begins with rough sketches, refining at each stage until the drawing is ready to transfer to lino.
Step 2 - Carving. This can take up to a week to get the fine details, patterns and textures in.
Step 3 - Printing. I roll Cranfield Caligo black relief ink onto the lino block, using my printing press to transfer the image onto Hereford paper.
Step 4 - Drying and Shipping. The ink takes around 48 hours to fully dry. The shipping time depends on your location. Please see my processing times and estimated shipping dates, or send me a message :)

The print Louise created was beyond what I could have imagined! She somehow turned all these pictures I sent into this cohesive body of work - it’s incredible!! She’s incredible! I don’t know how she does what she does, she’s incredibly gifted. And the process in terms of sending pics to her, and her sending pics of the different stages of it all coming together was great - it was amazing to see it happening in real time. Louise is amazing!! And her work is utterly brilliant!

I purchased this as a first wedding anniversary gift (paper anniversary!) for my husband. Working with Louise was a dream - she got my vision straight away, and managed to work in all of the details I shared with her in a way that was super cohesive! The end product is AMAZING, and my husband really really loved it - it felt like a perfect representation of *us*. Louise was amazing to work with! She is very communicative and really took the time to think together on what would go best in the "story of us."
