Early Victorian ballgown in off-white colour. May be used as 1840s wedding dress or a very special gown for period dances or photosessions.
The outfit consists of bodice and skirt which may also be worn separately. The bodice is boned and has a corsetted effect. It closes on back lacing.
The bodice of the gown is decorated with bertha element - fashionable detail with pleating made of the same fabric. Dress with bertha were popular during Victorian period. Short sleeves are decorated with same fabric volants. The skirt is rather full and has a slight train.
The dress is designed to be worn with period approproiate undergarnments (corset and petticoats), though will look very good without them as well.

The dress fits perfectly and I am so happy with it. She is an amazing seamstress and works really fast too!! I can't wait to wear this dress on my wedding day.
