How to wash your hair with dreadlocks in:
Do not apply shampoo straight to your scalp: firstly, foam it up in your hands, and then wash your scalp with the foam. Repeat the process if needed. Do not use conditioner or hair masks on braided hair
Between wears:
After you take your dreadlocks away, you need to wash your set before the next braiding.
Dreadlocks are safe to wash in the washing machine on a handwashing setting, curls and braids are better to be washed by hand. Use some laundry detergent and focus on washing the root area that touches the scalp. Rinse firmly and let them dry on a towel: do not dry your sets in the drying machine, as it may damage them.
