Made from Annealed .065 80CRV2 hot rolled steel, I heat these in a gas forge to gamma state, harden them above 65RC, and temper them to around 58RC. This Chaveta knife is the last Chaveta you'll ever need for rolling cigars. It will last you a life time. We custom design your name on it. It will arrive without the " White Text " as shown in the computer design image. The blades come very sharp. I sharpen them with 80 grit to profile the primary edge, and then 800 grit for the secondary edge. This Chaveta will stay sharp and not need sharpening for a very long time. It's so sharp the buyer needs to be extremely careful when using it.
I have cut myself many times, and other rollers using it have cut themselves with this Chaveta. You have been warned .. it's SHARP, but it is RAZOR sharp, it's polished secondary edge to a razor sharp edge. It will shave hair off of your arm like a razor blade.. so for those of you knife loving folks who want it to shave hair. With a little work on some shapton stones or diamond stones you can make it easily obtain hair shaving sharpness, but it doesn't need it for cutting tobacco leaf ! It comes plenty sharp for the job with a strong durable ductile working edge made for the duty it's purposed for.
