Auralite 23 Crystal Cluster from Thunder Bay, Ontario — the only place on Earth this ancient stone is found.

My family has lived in Thunder Bay for over 110 years, and we still source our Auralite directly from the miners who work the land. Before this crystal was ever removed from the earth, it was blessed by a local shaman and permission was given through the First Nations people whose land holds this sacred deposit. Ethical sourcing and respect for the land are deeply important to us.

This particular piece is known as a Spirit Auralite.

When you look closely, you will see two very different expressions within the same crystal. One side sparkles with luminous clarity while the other still carries the natural iron and hematite matrix from the earth that formed it. Many dealers remove this darker coating with chemicals to create a fully polished surface. We intentionally left the natural formation intact.

The contrast tells a story.

The brilliant side represents the higher dimensions of awareness and spiritual clarity. The darker side holds the grounding minerals that anchor that awareness into the physical world. Together they reflect the duality we all carry — spirit and matter, light and shadow — working together within a single body.

This formation is also extremely practical for anyone who wishes to create a custom jewelry piece. The crystal has a naturally flat back and thin granite matrix, making it strong and stable for mounting.

Auralite 23 is considered one of the oldest amethyst formations on Earth, estimated at nearly 1.8 billion years old. Scientists believe meteor activity in the region introduced additional rare elements into the crystal structure. Because of this, Lakehead University in Thunder Bay conducted X-ray diffraction testing and identified 23 different mineral inclusions within the stone.

Each order includes a postcard listing these minerals and their energetic properties.
