I bought this blanket as a gift for my niece. She’s into the whole dark aesthetics kinda thing, and she’s been staying with me while she’s in community college! Her birthday came a few weeks ago and I decided to get her this blanket, she’s a fan of the woven stuff. Luckily, her kitty likes it too! It’s become a favorite in the house and if she comes into the living room to hang with me, she brings it with her.

overall 3/5 because it's definitely a lot brighter/lighter-toned than the the pictures might suggest. quality gets 5 stars because it is nice and well made, but i don't feel like i received the item from the photos.

The image on here makes the blanket look dark/gothic, the roses and birds look detailed with a dark thread. The blanket, the birds and roses look to be threaded with a white color, giving a different look to the blanket. I was hoping to use it as a gift for my daughter who is into the gothic scene, but this blanket looks like something a grandmother would have. Would not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry the blanket wasn’t what you expected. The main design is not intended to show any white threads throughout. I reached out directly so we could work on a resolution together and I hope to hear from you soon. My woven blankets are made on a loom, which means the design is double-sided: one side shows the main colors and design, while the reverse side shows the "negative" of the design. This is the natural result of the weaving process, and I understand it can be surprising if you were expecting both sides to look the same. My daughter is also goth, and she is the inspiration behind my design. I know firsthand how important it is to be supportive, so I hope we can work together to resolve this for you both.
