I do not provide ring sizing services. There are many variables such as design of the gemstone(s) mounting and the thickness of a band which make each ring's fit individual to the wearer. I believe that the most accurate fit can be obtained by having a customer's reputable local jeweler size their ring after receiving their purchase.

Buyer must notify us they would like to return an item within three days of receipt. Returns sent without notification cannot be accepted/refunded. Returns must be received within seven days of receipt. Returns should be shipped with tracking - please provide the tracking information following shipment - and insurance, as Etsy holds buyers responsible for the loss or damage on returns. Item must be returned in its original condition with all packaging. Items that have been sized or altered in any way are not returnable. Upon receipt, the purchase price will be refunded to the method of payment utilized, less our actual shipping cost (which varies based upon shipping location, insurance, etc.).

GEMSTONE SIZE AND WEIGHT

The gemstones and diamonds in all of my pieces are already set as they are antiques or vintage. Many of the stones are european or mine cut with different measurement parameters than contemporary standards. Without removing the stones from their settings, I am only able to estimate their sizes and weights. I provide the measurements that I am able to take providing you with as much information as possible to envision the proportions and design of the stones and the piece.

All of my antique and vintage items are previously owned and have been used and worn. I lightly polish jewelry, inspect it with a jeweler's loupe, and test it for accuracy of marks or stamps. I use electronic as well as acid testing for gold and metals, and I test diamonds and gemstones for authenticity. I work with a professional jeweler who verifies and authenticates jewelry pieces when I have questions. I utilize all resources available in the research and identification of a piece, and only sell pieces that have been determined to be wearable and in serviceable condition. I provide the most accurate description possible and list any issues that I am aware of with a piece.

CARE OF ANTIQUE JEWELRY

Every piece of antique and vintage jewelry has its own history and was crafted in its own way. As a result some of our pieces are more delicate than others, either by design or age. I only sell pieces that I have determined to be in wearable condition, and if I ever have any question about a piece I have them reviewed by colleagues who craft custom fine jewelry. However, while many of the pieces in my shop can easily be worn every day, not every piece can or should be. Every day wear can be particularly hard on enamel and certain more delicate stones like opals and emeralds. No piece is immune to normal wear and tear if proper care is not taken and items may require routine maintenance. Please do not hesitate to ask questions!

Lovely antique Victorian solid 10K rose gold agate ring featuring a bezel set navette shaped gemstone with beautiful clear translucent coloring and a small dendritic brown inclusion at one tip of the navette. The rose gold mounting features split shoulders with a center line detail continuing around the ring shank. It is a classic yet elegant setting that highlights the agate stone. A beautiful piece of antique agate fine jewelry!

The agate gemstone measures just over 24mm north to south by approximately 7mm west to east. The ring shank measures approx. 2.5mm wide at the back center point of the shank. The ring has a very worn 10K mark inside the shank, and electronic and acid tests for 10K gold. It weighs 3.3 grams and measures a size 5, which could be easily resized by your local jeweler.

This rose gold agate ring is in good antique condition with normal use and wear. The stone has a beautiful sheen with no chips, gouges, or visible scratches to the stone. There is the slightest movement of the stone within the setting which is securely held in place; the ring is in very wearable condition. The ring band remains round with no significant thinning, and no evidence of prior sizing. It makes a fabulous pinky ring and is a terrific piece for gifting or wearing!
