How do I know what size to order, and what if I order the wrong size?

Every listing includes exact dimensions and photos showing the marker in context, so please read the full description and check the measurements before ordering. Because sizing is clearly listed, I'm unable to accept returns based on size expectations. If you're unsure what fits your garden bed, container, raised bed, or tree, message me first and I'll point you to the right option before you order.

Are your markers built for outdoor use?

Yes. Every marker is laser-engraved on stainless steel, aluminum, or industrial lamicoid, so the text is permanent, never printed or applied on top. It won't fade, peel, wash off, or degrade in sun, rain, or soil contact. Ground stakes are solid metal, available in multiple heights. If you've ever snapped an acrylic stake trying to get it into packed or clay soil, you know exactly why that matters.

What is your return policy?

Your satisfaction matters, and I stand behind every marker I make. If your order arrives damaged or has an engraving error on my end, contact me within 7 days with photos and I'll remake or refund it right away. Because every marker is custom-engraved to your specs, I can't accept returns for buyer-provided personalization errors or change-of-mind. Non-custom items may be returned within 14 days in original, unused condition; return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.

What if my item arrives broken or damaged?

I hand-package every order with care and plenty of recyclable, compostable filler, but shipping accidents can happen. Please message me within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damaged item and all of the shipping packaging. Every order includes shipping insurance, so you're fully covered. Once I have your photos, I'll prioritize getting your replacement out and handle the entire insurance claim on my end. You won't need to worry about any of it.

What if there's a spelling mistake on my order?

If the mistake was on my end and the engraving doesn't match the text you provided or the proof you approved, contact me right away with a photo and I'll send a replacement at no charge. If the mistake was in the text you originally provided, or appears on a proof you reviewed and approved, I'm unable to offer a refund or replacement, so please double-check all spelling carefully before submitting your order and before approving any proof.

What is your cancellation policy?

It depends on the order type. Custom and personalized orders: if yours includes a design proof, you have 48 hours to approve or request changes; if I don't hear back, I'll proceed with the proofed design to keep production on schedule. Cancelling after a proof is sent retains a 20% design fee for the time already invested. Stock design orders (like bilingual landscape signage) can be cancelled within 1 hour of purchase, since they ship within 24 hours, with no design fee retained.

Can you customize text or layout, or engrave a logo?

Yes! Most listings include a personalization field, and custom requests are always welcome. If you need a logo, QR code, non-standard layout, or a different stake height, message me before ordering and we'll work out the details. For logos or custom artwork, please send your file. AI, EPS, SVG, or high-resolution black-and-white PNG or JPG work best, and I'll confirm it's usable and set up a custom order from there.

Can you help me word my markers and get the botanical names right?

Absolutely. Most customers aren't botanical experts, and that's completely fine. A typical marker includes the botanical name (genus and species), the common name, and sometimes the cultivar, plus optional details like bloom color or year planted. Send me your plant list, or even just common names, and I'll help you sort out what belongs on each marker. I also follow the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants (ICNCP): genus and species in italic, cultivars in Roman type within single quotes. I'll flag any formatting issues before engraving, which collectors and botanical gardens especially appreciate.

Do you offer wholesale, bulk, or institutional orders?

Yes! I love working with wholesale and volume clients, from nurseries and landscapers to plant societies, schools, municipalities, grant-funded projects, and Scout troops, and I'm already a vetted vendor in several states. Send your list as a spreadsheet with a column for each engraved line (variety, plant type, hybridizer and year, and so on) and I can run the whole batch from it. For tree labeling toward ArbNet or similar accreditation, I'll check your list against ICNCP standards first so it passes review. Message me before ordering with quantities and product interest, and I'll put together wholesale pricing.

Do you offer memorial or dedication markers?

Yes. These markers are a meaningful choice for memorial gardens, dedication plantings, and remembrance trees, including pet memorials. Any product in my shop can be customized for a memorial or dedication. I don't outsource design work. I'm a designer and engraver as well as a gardener, so every element of your marker is created in-house with care and intention.
