All our plated jewelry and fine art objects begin with a real element from nature — such as a honeybee, clover, daisy, or seashell. These are prepared and preserved in our UK studio by master alchemist John King, using the traditional process of electroplating. Most natural items are freshly sealed in epoxy, as drying would cause them to lose their natural shape. This layer protects and stabilizes the form, and makes the object airtight and watertight — ready for the next stages. After sealing, each piece is coated in a layer of copper through a precise, time-intensive electroplating process. Finally, it’s finished in either pure 24K gold or .999 fine silver. All our glass jewelry is handmade from the highest quality borosilicate glass, known for its clarity, strength, and resistance to thermal shock. Each piece is shaped by hand using the traditional flame-working technique (also called lampwork). This process uses a high-temperature torch to melt and shape glass rods — no molds or casting involved. Whether it’s a floating galaxy, a blooming implosion, or a whimsical mushroom, every glass piece is flame-worked by master alchemist John King and carries the mark of its unique creation.

🔨 How it's made
Made with magic. All our jewelry comes from the hand of master alchemist John King. Each coffee bean is sourced from a local micro-roastery in Sussex, near our woodland studio. Hand-selected for beautiful texture and shape, each bean carries the scent and soul of slow mornings. Hand-sealed in specialised epoxy, a stainless steel eyelet is glued on, submerged in a copper bath for a metal base layer and magically plated with 24-karat gold through alchemy. Hand-polished for a shiny finish.

The entire process takes about a week. The result is a truly unique piece with both a story and a soul.

I gave this handmade pendant with a real coffee bean as a gift to my boyfriend – and wow, it looks good on him! Even though my boyfriend doesn’t normally wear jewelry, he is very happy with it. The symbolism of the coffee bean – energy, strength and a new beginning – also suited him perfectly. What makes this piece of jewelry extra special is that each pendant is unique and handmade and contains a real coffee bean. No mass production, but a handcrafted and carefully made piece. You can feel it - and see it. The service was also great: a personal note, fast shipping, a nice gift bag and even a bag of flower seeds as an extra. So thoughtful! Ik heb deze handgemaakte hanger met echte koffieboon cadeau gedaan aan mijn vriend – en wauw, wat staat het hem goed! Ondanks dat mijn vriend normaal geen sieraden draagt, is hij er ontzettend blij mee. De symboliek van de koffieboon – energie, kracht en een nieuw begin – paste ook precies bij hem. Wat dit sieraad extra bijzonder maakt is dat elke hanger uniek en met de hand gemaakt is en het een échte koffieboon bevat. Geen massaproductie, maar een ambachtelijk en met zorg gemaakt stuk. Dat voel je – en dat zie je. De service was ook geweldig: een persoonlijk berichtje, snelle verzending, een mooi cadeauzakje en zelfs een zakje bloemzaadjes als extraatje. Zo attent!
