Original hand-cut wood painting by Louisville, Kentucky artist Patrick Jilbert. One-of-a-kind and signed.
This abstract form is cut by hand from reclaimed plywood and sanded smooth before layered color is applied. A spray-painted base establishes the underlying field, followed by freehand acrylic and house paint detailing that builds pattern and surface variation. Multiple coats of gloss polyurethane seal the work, creating a durable finish with depth and a reflective sheen.
The wood is reclaimed from excess material provided by a Louisville-based architecture and cabinetry studio, giving new life to quality material that would otherwise go unused.
