HINT: Slip it on your hair first in the proper position, then twist the elastic from underneath your pony and loop over your hair. If you feel you need to tighten it more, take it off, slip it back on, and then do a "double twist" or even a "triple twist" underneath your pony before you loop over your hair. You DO NOT need to make a new full loop. Just adding a second or third twist before you loop over your hair will take up the slack and make it nice and tight for those girls with thinner or silky hair. This will also add to the life of the elastic.
