HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG'S NECK FOR A SLIP ON ID TAG COLLAR
It's easy to measure your dog for a slip-on house collar. The key thing to remember is that this style of collar needs to slide over the head, so it must be large enough to pass over the ears (which is usually the largest part of the head).
As long as you measure that part correctly, the collar should just fall naturally around your dog's neck.
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of the head (this is normally around the ears). The collar needs to be large enough to slide over this point.
- Measure the mid point of the neck fairly snugly.
- Select a size as close to the largest measurement as possible.

Every one of our ID collars is handmade to order by us here in Northumberland; we wrap soft Italian leather in a choice of 29 vibrant shades around a core of soft leather cord, then attach a solid, stainless steel o-ring creating a fixed loop.
Please note, this style of collar is not adjustable, and slides over the head. if you’d prefer a ID collar with a clasp, then take a look at our dog house collar.

Beautiful house collar for my lurcher
This is the 2nd one I have bought now. The first one I got several years ago is still standing strong and very vibrant, I got this for my new dog and it's just as high quality as the last. They're perfect for us as lightweight, comfortable "holiday" collars to wear in our accomodation as my dogs don't normally wear collars indoors at home
Perfect for my very small dog - nice and light and doesn't damage his coat, and holds his tag (he's walked on a harness so no lead or anything is ever attached to it).
