As someone who is neurodivergent and living with an invisible disability, I often struggle to communicate my feelings and needs. Sometimes people assume I’m upset when really, I’m just having a bad pain day or running on low energy. And when I meet new people, I want them to know that I’m not being rude—I’m just awkward!
So, I started making these buttons for myself, to help express what words sometimes can’t. Others were inspired by friends and loved ones who also navigate the world a little differently.
Some buttons in this collection are perfect for everyday wear, while others can be put on as needed—like a way to subtly communicate what’s going on without having to explain it. Some are even great for attaching to a bag, so you can point to them like a communication board.
Each button is available in blue, pink, purple, teal or peach and are available in two sizes - the mini 1" size and the large 1.5" size.
For better visibility, you can request flat-color backgrounds in place of the standard starry backgrounds.
