Bring a touch of the wild to your quilting with these charming bird FPP patterns.
This digital PDF pattern includes:
*Patterns for each of the following birds: Tufted titmouse, Black-Capped Chickadee, Northern Cardinal, House Sparrow, Blue Jay, American Goldfinch, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Eastern Bluebird, American Robin
*Left-facing AND right-facing versions of each bird pattern
*Applique patterns for the twig and worm
*Pattern pieces with ¼" seam allowance included
*Basic guidelines, pattern templates, and a section overview

! The pattern itself doesn’t list exact fabric names or requirements per block. That’s because the birds are designed to be very scrap-friendly. For the background fabric for the entire quilt, you’ll need approximately 2.5 yards total.
For the bird fabrics, you’ll need less than a fat quarter of each color, so this is a perfect project for using up scraps or small cuts you already have on hand.

Although I haven't used these patterns yet, I cannot wait to do so. I've been wanting to make a bird quilt and wasn't sure how to get started, but these patterns have shown me the way, and I love to do paper pieced quilting.

the patterns worked out perfectly! The birds are so cute and I appreciate that there is a left-facing and right-facing version of each bird. however i would not recommend to a beginner as there are no assembly instructions.
