Silver, moonstone, amethyst and niobium Saturn planet earrings -- These pieces are the result of my fascination with the planetismal theory of planet formation: The idea that nebulae detritus accrete via gravitic forces into larger and larger pieces which become planets, moons and comets. Planetismal is a compound word referring to “infintismal” in a celestial context.

These pendants have silver wire orbits over the white moonstone and a sterling silver granule as another moonlet or orbiting body. The moonstone is backed by a multicolored niobim disk to create the variegated effect of interplanetary light. The 12 mm and 10 mm size are touched by a 3 mm amethyst while the 8 mm size is kept small and dainty. For more information on moonstones and amethyst please visit my stud earring listings.

These pendants are 3 different sizes. The 12 mm ones are 3/4" (19 mm) by 11/16" (18 mm) and the total length is 15/16" (24 mm). The 10 mm ones are 11/16" (18 mm) by 11/16" (18 mm) and the total length is 7/8" (22 mm). The 8 mm ones are 9/16" (14 mm) by 9/16" (14 mm) and the total length is 11/16" (18 mm). All of these are light and comfortable to wear.
