Mirror Blank Plate and Gasket (Kit) for Tow Mirrors Fits 84-01 Jeep Cherokee XJ & Comanche MJ

This is a full kit to block off the standard side mirror holes when installing large door mounted tow mirrors on the 1984-2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee and the 1986-1992 Jeep MJ Comanche.  These are a direct replacement for Jeeps that have original OEM block plates that are warped, cracked, and leaking.  These bolt through the same holes the mirror does and includes gaskets to keep water from getting into the door.  The screws are also included with the kit.  The plates replace part # 8955005312 RH and 8955005313 LH, the gaskets replace part # 8955005430.

Color applies to the plates only, the gaskets only come in black. If you are ordering gaskets only, the color doesn't matter you will get black gaskets.

For orders of gaskets only, they will be shipped in a standard white envelope so no tracking information will be available.

INSTALLATION:

1.  Remove the door panel by taking out the screws securing the door panel in place, popping the tree clips loose, and unhooking the lock and latch rods.

2.  Remove the single screw holding the inner trim piece in place and set the screw and trim aside.

3.  Remove the 3 bolts holding the mirror on, or the 2 screws holding the original blank plates on.

4.  Place the new gaskets and blank plates into the door and install the screws.  Don't forget to install the tow mirrors while you have the door apart!

5.  Reinstall the inner trim piece and the door panel.

- These are printed in black PETG plastic.  This plastic has natural UV resistance so the color won't fade over time and won't get brittle.  This plastic can start to get soft at temperatures of 190*F.  Even in extreme environments this shouldn't be an issue.  PETG parts have been used on vehicles for long periods of time without ill effects.

- If you break it due to not following instructions, over-tightening screws, or through use, you can fix it with some super glue or you can message me to purchase a replacement part.

- This is a made to order part.  We print and ship as soon as possible, please allow ample time for me to process and ship.

- Shipping damage must be reported within 3 days of receiving the item.  After this time a return/refund will not be accepted nor will a replacement part be sent out due to shipping damage.
