This clever gift box is also a cute storage bin. Don't you just love giving gifts in a special package that is part of the gift itself? The Gift-n-Store has a build in "bow" on top and converts into a great looking fabric basket. Choose your favorite two fabrics according to the occasion or the recipient's taste. Instructions for making your own trim are included or you can use ribbon instead.
Two sizes are included. The small box is 4" x 4", not including the top flaps. The large is 6" x 6" not including the top flaps.
This pattern is written for intermediate sewers. You will need to be familiar with common sewing symbols and techniques.
You need only a basic sewing machine with straight stitch. And remember, if you have any questions or problems as you are sewing your gift box, I am here to help!
Happy Stitching!

HOW TO USE A DIGITAL PATTERN:
All Elizabeth Wyatt patterns are digital pdf files, formatted for printing on standard home printers. My patterns include full size pattern pieces which you assemble after printing. You may choose to print the instructions and the pattern pieces, or just the pattern pieces to save ink and paper.
IMPORTANT: Before printing, set scaling to "none" or "actual size" to be sure pattern pieces are sized properly. The first pattern page has a 1" square to check the printing scale. After printing, simply trim and tape together the individual pages following the keys in each corner to assemble the pattern.
You will not have to tape together huge layouts. I make it easy for you because I break the pattern down into small sections so that you assemble by pattern piece.
