Elegant, antique Arts and Crafts round pewter brooch with marbled inky blue, Ruskin pottery(esque) ceramic cabuchon. The pewter frame has a stamped flower motif interspersed with raised dots and with tiny pricked dots all over. The brooch has a handmade look and is imperfect slightly rough inner edges to the frame and the cabuchon not being quite central.There is a hairline crack athat is very visible on the photos but only noticeable with very close scrutiny in real life. The flat back is made of brass or tin; hinge and pin hook from brass and the pin is silver tone metal.
Measures 1 3/4 inches across(4.25 cm). A rare and beautiful brooch.
