This 1950s dress is a gorgeous shade of teal blue—iridescent teal blue organza is the outer layer, with an acetate taffeta under layer/lining, along with tulle filling out the skirt. Wide matching lace covers the straps, top of the bodice and the upper-hip seam. The fitted bodice has princess seams through the waist and then at that upper-hip seam the skirt falls very full from gathers. There is a side covered metal zipper. Although it has no label, the dress appears commercially made.

CONDITION: Just dry cleaned, the dress is in very good condition by my thinking. There is noticeable fading in the lining under the arms and extremely subtle staining visible on the outside of the dress under the arms. This is really negligible. I found one small smudge-like mark on the side front bodice. See these issues in the final square. I also saw one pinhead hole at the hem of the organza outer skirt.
