This is my mid century modern hand carved counter stool.If you have ever seen the work of Sam Maloof this will look familiar to you.If you have not seen his work do a google image search.When I was a kid I saw his work in Fine Woodworking magizine and was inspired.After many years I have finally gained enough experience and skill to build a peice of furniture in his style.This stool would look great with mid century modern or industrial decor.This stool takes many weeks to hand carve.It is sculpted from top to bottom with chisels rasps and sandpaper.The form is so organic it just invites you in to touch it.If you do have the budget to order these beautiful stools allow several months for me to make them for you.I can make these stools in any size or wood that you select.This one is made from quarter sawn white oak.Thanks for looking.
