(PLEASE do not turn the bottle up-side down to dispense the oil; doing so may release the oil in a stream. The best way to yield droplets is to tilt the bottle sightly to the side at a 30 degree angle and to tap lightly on the bottom of the bottle.)

Red Thyme Essential Oil is considered an antiseptic, astringent, antifungal, insecticide and an immune stimulant. Effective for respiratory and nervous problems, the oil aids in circulation. Before purchasing, please note that there is a genuine difference between Red Thyme and White Thyme Essential Oils. Red Thyme Essential Oil is stronger and more pungent and concentrated than White Thyme Essential Oil --and generally less pleasant smelling; Red Thyme Essential Oil is the first distillation of thyme, and White Thyme Essential Oil is yielded from a second distillation of the herb. This listing is for Red Thyme Essential Oil, not White.

More ideal for therapeutic purposes than for fragrancing/perfuming, Red Thyme Essential Oil is extremely potent. Some use the oil for hairloss. And others use it for sinuses, headaches and for mental alertness.

The oil emits a woodsy, smoky, medicinal scent that may be overwhelming for some. Some may even consider the pungent smell to be repulsive. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly.

Be sure to shake the bottle well before use and to dilute it well in a base oil. Please note that Red Thyme Essential oil contains certain natural components/constituents that may freeze or solidify at cooler temperatures. Do not use Red Thyme Essential Oil in bath water. Also avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.

We ship the oil in an amber glass bottle with a eurodropper and a white or black cap; please do not transfer the oil into a plastic bottle once received. To prolong the oil, keep the oil in a cool, dry place, away from the sun.

All of our essential oils are pure, therapeutic and unadulterated. Essential oils are highly concentrated; you must dilute them in carrier oils before topical application. The recommended topical dilution is 2%, which equals to about 12 drops per ounce (2 tablespoons) of carrier oil.

If your skin or any part of your mucous membranes accidentally comes into direct contact with pure, undiluted essential oil, rinse your skin or the membrane(s) with a carrier oil or any other oily substance; do not first rinse with water. Rinsing with water immediately after the undiluted contact will only exacerbate the problem or irritation. If the irritation does not stop or worsens, please seek medical attention.
