Most standard ear wires and post earrings are 20ga. If your ears are sensitive to size please only order the 18ga if you are certain they will fit you.

Q: How are these different than just buying two of SpindleCat Studio's sterling silver locking removable stitch markers?

A: There are (4) four differences between purchasing this earring listing vs. the stitch marker listing.

- First, you can choose whether you'd like 18ga wire (1mm) or lighter, slimmer 20ga wire (0.8mm) for your earrings. At this time, due to repetitive use and durability issues, stitch markers are only 18ga.
- Second, as earrings your hoops will be made as a matched mirrored pair - one opens right and one left. (Stitch markers are made with hooks facing the same way.)
- Third, sterling stitch markers are quality stamped .925 on backside halfway around the curve. Since earrings may be seen and worn with either side showing I do not quality mark them to keep them comfortable with a visually clean appearance.
- Finally, extra care is taken in the finish and polish of your earrings.
