Fresh from an estate comes this very RARE Civil War history entitled "A History of the Ninety-Fifth Regiment - Illinois Infantry Volunteers, From Its Organization In the Fall of 1862, Until Its Final Discharge From The United States Service, In 1865." by Wales W. Wood, Esq., (Former Adjutant of Regiment.) Printed in Chicago by Tribune Company's Book and Job Printing Office - 1865. This is a first edition dedicated "To The Commissioned Officers and Enlisted Men of the Ninety-Fifth Regiment - Illinois Infantry Volunteers, by the author. I have posted two photos of the preface which gives you a short summary of what you will find in this book. These regimental histories are rare and hard to find. This particular one on the rare book sites has an asking price of $750+.
This book measures almost 7 1/2" by 5" and has 240 pages. Condition is EXCELLENT with just minor foxing. No odors, no writing inside, no tears, no discoloration or issues of any kind.
