We needed a better bookshelf, so we built one. And we loved it so (as we do) we decided to share it with anyone else who might love the look of this shelf.

The frame is made from black steel pipes and cast iron joints together with common pine board serving as shelves. The shelf must be mounted directly into the wall -- it is not a free-standing unit.

We can customize the height, width and spacing of any shelves -- and we can handle the installation. We can also customize the design and layout of the shelf, if you have something more specific in mind.

So thrilled with these shelves! Caroline put together a beautiful custom design that worked with the wine shelves I wanted to incorporate. Everything was carefully packaged and the instructions were easy to follow. The finished product is exactly what I was looking for!

I cannot say enough about how happy we were with Jay's work. We had a big empty wall in our apartment and had been searching for the perfect thing to fill it. We had found significantly more expensive yet less personalized shelving units online and then luckily came across Soil & Oak. Jay was so patient and helpful as we went through a couple of rounds of designs and did a beautiful job building me a desk in a bit of a funky space. This unit honestly makes our apartment and I love it even more every time I step into the room. Can't recommend him enough!
