This is a pack of twenty (20) Red Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum) tree seeds for bonsai enthusiasts.
These seeds are guaranteed to produce a good bonsai tree over the next year or two assuming you follow the included propagation instructions.
These are picked from my neighbor's trees in the fall of each year without permission. (Just kidding) I have been a bonsai enthusiast for many years and this is the most rewarding way to start a bonsai tree.
When you grow your tree from seed you will have more control over the surface root structure which is highly regarded in Japanese Maples.
After the first year or two you can cut the vertical tap root and place the tree in a more shallow container. At that point your tree will be about as tall as is useful for Bonsai and you should start adding mass to the trunk and prune the vertical growth. The style in the photo above might have taken 5 to 10 years to achieve.
This is my favorite bonsai tree species, but if you would like to try other species let me know, I have seeds for various deciduous trees and conifers that make excellent bonsai specimens. Joe - 724-986-7899
