Yellow and Blue are the colors of the Ukrainian national flag. This pin is made to raise awareness and collect money for the current struggle in Ukraine, a country that is fighting a noble fight for independence and freedom.
All the money ($20) I receive for this item will be donated towards Ukrainian help. I give to volunteers who I trust: there is no overhead, but also no tax-exempt.
I contribute my time and supply cost, as well as Etsy fees and income tax. Many times in the past, when these orders were few, I matched my customers donations.
Feel free to ask me to share with you more details on how your money will be used and how you can help more.
Your pin will be professionally hand-made with sewn on buttons and metal fastenings then packed in a small padded envelope.
Shipping will be calculated depending on the mail service you choose. Tracking number will be provided as per shipment.
Please notice that the color shade and the ribbon size/quality may vary.
I am very grateful to people from all over the world who are helping my dear home country, devastated by horrific bully aggression. Ukraine is standing for the whole free world against this maniacal tyranny. Who ever thought we will live through such war in 21st century?
Here are some organizations I support:
Spilka NYC, - these are cool young New York creative kids (now in LA, too). They send all the money they collect directly to people and volunteers on the ground, focusing on humanitarian causes: minorities, refugees, artists and cultural institutions. I am proud of my daughter for being a part of this collective from the very beginning.

Ukrainian Emergency Art Fund: I personally know people who run it, and I know people and cultural institutions who are being helped by this organization. Whether it is a stipend for and artist in temporary exile, or funds covering packing materials for Eastern Ukraine art museum evacuation, every penny will go to where it's needed most.

Spunbond charity foundation: it had started in Kyiv during the worst of COVID pandemic in order to provide doctors and hospitals with PPE. You can see what they do on their website and Facebook page. During this summer, my customers sent them more than $1000 for the hats I made for free. This fund is run by my good friends who have my full trust.

Also I support Razom for Ukraine: www.razomforukraine.org/
and Superhumans Center. I know the founders of both NGOs personally, I have sent money and provided them with a bunch of my hand made Ukrainian bows for their own donors.

In addition, I have been sending money by occasional random requests to various causes every other day. Ukraine is a huge country, the need is vast and it is only growing, despite the billions our government declared in military help.
Volunteer movement in Ukraine is something unique, never seen before in the modern history.

Add $4 for domestic shipping for any number of $20 pins.
I started making these bows back in 2014, and here is the old text:
In case you don't know: Russia annexed Crimea, sponsored separatist movement in Eastern Ukraine, and invaded Ukrainian territory with regular Russian army troops. Ukrainian army, much weakened in the last years, National Guard and a few volunteer's battalions, are fighting a difficult fight. There are a lot of casualties, and not a lot of good medications, urgently needed to save lives.
*If you want to say "I Love" in Ukrainian (and Russian), say "Ya Lyublyu" - Yellow/Blue
