Vintage 1950s sewing pattern, Advance 8772;

Pattern pieces have printed lines (yay!), are intact, cut, and in excellent condition; BACK NECK FACING is the only missing piece. Otherwise, pattern pieces are complete. Envelope is in great condition, with some yellowing on inside flap. Step-by-step instructions for cutting, sewing, and alterations are included. Instruction sheet has tanned, but is intact and in great condition for its age.

Coat, front-buttoned... cutaway neckline, standaway roll collar. Large patch pockets. Back has deep shoulder folds, center seam. Sleeves are in one [piece] with front and set in at back. Sleeves full length or turned back with cuffs.

Fabric Suggestions:

Coat: Cotton coatings, pique, corduroy, velveteen. Linen. Silk linen, faille, bengaline, peau de soie. shantung. Wool flannel, tweed, coating jersey, fleece, broadcloth, blends.

Lining: Cottons, crepe, taffeta.

Interfacing: Woven or non-woven fabrics.
