Antique Button Reliquary Necklace, Soldered Button Shadowbox Pendant, Button Diorama, Gift for Seamstress, Dressmaker


I love to explore abandoned houses. One time I found one that dated back to 1914 in Henderson, NC, it was amazing. I found a pile of buttons in the upstairs bedroom that was almost impossible to get to. It was like an obstacle course of fallen beams and large open holes that went all the way to the first floor! But I love that stuff, haha, so It was worth it :D
You will notice some of the 6 little buttons still hold tightly to their original threads (and dirt) as they forever rest safely on a piece of red toile fabric, in this small glass soldered shadowbox. The back is lined with a clipping from a vintage typed pamphlet on dying fabric.
I only have a handful of buttons left, so pieces like this won't be available much longer :(

Measures 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" not including wire scroll. 2 1/2"L with hand hammered wire scroll.
Includes 24" chain.
