Rolled Gold is not to be confused with gold plating or Vermeil as Rolled Gold literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. Rolled Gold is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colours.

THE MAKING JOURNEY

These briolette drop earrings, handcrafted in my Northumberland studio, are a gorgeous combination of semi-precious stones and mixed metals, faceted and polished to catch the light.

The gemstone ‘drop’ is a timeless shape that stone cutters have favoured for centuries. Small enough for everyday wear, with a little bit more of swing than a stud. Here in my wire wrapped interpretation I weave tiny fine metal beads to the tip of the teardrop to accent the stone and speak to the artisan detailing that truly cannot be found on the high street.

THE GEMSTONE

Onyx is the anniversary gemstone for celebrating the 10th year of marriage and the perfect gift for the lady in your life. The union and contrast between the layers of the onyx symbolize love and happiness between couples.

In its natural state, onyx is alternately banded with white and earthy brown colours while its polished black form is created through the process of dyeing agate or chalcedony. This illustrious gemstone has been used to make striking, statement jewellery for thousands of years.
