~Metals~ All sterling silver used is sourced responsibly & or with the majority being composed of recycled sterling. Our Gold fill may also include up to 85% recycled gold. ~ Shipping Supplies & Materials ~ 2020 -Divested from Uline! No bubble mailers! We use only biodegradable and recyclable paper mailers. No bubble wrap or bubble mailers! Our shipping tape is also plant based, renewable & biodegradable! Jewelry boxes are made from 95% recycled materials, & are recyclable, less interior padding. We use biodegradable gloves & zip lock bags & participates in scrap recycling with unused & left over metals, in addition to recycling responsibly in our admin office.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All L.Greenwalt Jewelry comes with a L.Greenwalt Jewelry box, and tissue paper, beautiful and ready for gift giving.

Our * shiny * finished styles can be gently cleaned using a standard jewelry polishing cloth. This especially works well on brass, bronze, and sterling silver metals and can also be used for gold fill. Gold fill can also be gently cleaned by using a clean rag and rubbing alcohol or by running your item under warm soapy water, rinse and gently pat dry. Our * matte * Brass, and Sterling Silver styles come with care kits. Please follow the instructions enclosed in your care kit to maintain that nice satin glow. What is shiny? Think of a glossy finish, that yields glimmers of light when moved. What is matte? Think of the finish of a chalk board, no gloss, or shine. A flatter surface that yields little to no shine. :)

Hey! What is Gold Fill?

Gold Fill is an actual thick layer of gold that is bonded to a base metal (in our case that base metal is brass; an alloy of copper and zinc). While gold plating is very, very thin and vulnerable to flaking and fading, gold fill is resilient and can last for years without diminishing because it has a substantially larger amount of gold. Gold fill is an excellent economical option to pure gold, as well as environmentally. Our gold fill may also contain up to 85% recycled gold.

As of December 2024, L.Greenwalt Jewelry is casting all of our cast jewelry in house (rings, cuffs etc), by us. We're a two person team, wife and husband. We reuse our scrap metal for bronze and 925 sterling silver casts.

Handmade from start to finish

All of our jewelry is made in house, by hand, by the two of us. Our practices include, hammering, soldering, forming, casting, grinding, and polishing.
