These dainty and extremely rare ANTIQUE Second Empire 18KT GOLD EARRINGS are delicately traced with cloisonne black enamel and set with seed pearls. Made in France c. 1865 at the time of Napoleon III and the Empress Eugenie in a renaissance revival style.
Although the earring bodies are original antiques, the backs were worn out from years of wear (not unusual for pieces of this age) and have been replaced with new, 18kt gold, French lever-backs. They are hallmarked with '750' which represents '18kt' gold.
