Item highlights

  • Materials: red clay pottery, glossy white and brown glazes
  • Vintage: From the 1970s

Seller's description

This bowl has a partial label which reads "Raymor", MODERN in the TRADITION of GOOD TASTE. Clearly the Raymor label was at the forefront of innovative and interesting design. Likely made in Italy, the bowl is made of rough reddish clay with an inverted rim ring. It has been scribed under the glaze with half circles around the top half of the bowl.. The inside of the bowl, as well as the wide rim, have been glazed in a glossy brown. White glossy glaze covers the the inscribed top half of the bowl, leaving the bottom half in unglazed red clay. There are two smaller matching bowls also listed, (see picture #3)..

The bowl is about 3 1/8" tall. It is about 5 1/2" across the outer rim, and the base is 4 3/4" in diameter. The bowl is roughly 8" at its widest point.

It has a partial Raymor paper label which states as noted above "Modern in the tradition of good taste".

It is in very good condition with one glaze pop on the rim and five tiny glaze chips at the outer rim. (See picture #3 , which also shows one of the smaller bowls)
