Hopp Press Inc Vintage Box with Midget Sectional Tickets Patented 1920's Chelsea NYC

This is a sweet old lidded wooden box from Hopp Press, Inc. that contains a movable section of price tags. The other divider slides are missing from this box.
This company specialized in pricing products, based in NYC at 132 W. 14th St. (now the Chelsea section of NYC) at the time this box was produced.
This system was patented July 6th, 1920- November 20th, 1921 as printed on the lid. The box dates to the 20's or 30's.
The lid slides open (and off) to reveal sections for various prices "to make up cent prices for dollar cards". Each section was originally divided by a removable sliding slat of wood~ just one remains as noted above. The box has one small section with pricing cards as pictured. The graphics are all intact~ a little soiled and darkened on the lid with the remnants of stickers, one the lid and one on the bottom of the box. The interior almost looks new. The sliding lid has a little loss of the wood runner, but still functions properly.
The little cards inside have various prices in an orange red ink and several are marked with a patent date at the bottom "Patented July'20".

The box measures 7 3/4" long, 3 1/8" wide and 2 1/4" high.
