Porcelain, is made from finer, denser clay and is fired at higher temperatures, making it:

-tougher
-more scratch resistant
-more durable
-resistant to stains
than other varieties

Not only is it non-porous and easy to maintain, porcelain is also food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven friendly.

When selling our porcelain in person we often knock the piece on the cement/tile ground, demonstrating how chip and crack resistant our pieces are. Because porcelain is made from finer, denser clay and is fired at higher temperatures, it is far more durable than other varieties (earthenware, stoneware etc).

In several listings you have the option to purchase an individual piece, or the entire set. Etsy doesn't provide a way to list different shipping options, so you will be charged shipping for the entire set (even if you only purchase 1 item in the set). In these cases, we will refund you the extra amount immediately.

Due to the nature of one of a kind, handmade, wheel thrown porcelain, measurements vary and sizes are approximate. Each item is a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art.
Ceramic glazes all have subtle effects that vary from kiln firing to kiln firing. The glazes may pool in the center, or crackle and craze. Each glazed piece is unique and has its own personality. Glazes seen in the photos may vary slightly in color and appearance, as each glazed piece is unique.

If you would like your item shipped out the same day, the order must be placed M-F before 1pm MST (not including bank holidays when USPS is closed). This can't always be guaranteed, as we do leave town from time to time. If you are worried about shipping times please send us a private message.
