Gift wrapping and packaging

All items will arrive in a small box or pouch to protect them. Depending on the nature of the item it may be wrapped to protect it during transit. I usually try and recycle tissue and bubble wrap. Please advise if the item will be a gift and I will be sure it include an appropriate box or pouch suitable for gifting. I am always happy to include a handwritten card for no extra charge. All you have to do is ask.

All items are vintage and while many are in new condition, others are gently used. Please look at all photographs and read the full Item Description. I always leave items in original condition as that is how most collectors prefer them. I will usually gently clean or wipe an item with a polishing cloth.

Custom and personalized orders

If I am custom making or altering anything in any way it is considered final sale and is not eligible for return or refund. This includes but is not limited to any items that are sized, repaired, shortened, polished, attached, or adjusted in any way.

Victorian Gold Mourning brooch. This antique vintage brooch could be worn by a man or woman! Looks incredible on a lapel or wonderful for your collection.
Material: 9 karat yellow gold
Markings: Hallmarked 9 .375 the anchor and the letter f. (Birmingham 1905)

Measurements: just over 2 inches long and approx 1 inch wide.
note: this lovely antique brooch has the some fabric or paper inside and a clear shield which is meant for you to tuck a lock of hair inside of your loved one
note: there is a tiny loop attached on one side. I assume it may have once had a removable bail so it could be worn as a pendant. or perhaps it has a necklace that had a hook that this was meant to be able to attach to. You could certainly buy a bail/loop and have it attached if you wanted to wear it as a pendant
Note: the pin has a locking mechanism and the hinge works well. I think this locking mechanism is more modern and was attached at some point later in this brooches life
