For thickness of the link please look at a ruler to see that 1mm is very small. The measurements are accurate, if it is 1.1, 1.2, 1.3mm that is a thin chain. Chains are available in all sizes because some want a very thin chain, some want a thick chain. The measurements are meant to be accurate so you can order just what you want.

All Sterling Silver chains are finished with a Sterling Silver clasp, most come with a lobster clasp. The 1mm Cable, the 1.1mm Octava Box and the 1.3mm Curb chain have a Spring Ring Clasp.
