Handmade solid wood dining chair with sculpted seat and contoured back. Japanese-inspired Enso design in cherry, walnut, maple or oak. Built to last generations. Made in Ohio

The Enso Dining Chair is not just any chair - it's an incredibly sturdy companion for years of shared meals and memories. With its hand-sculpted deep tractor seat and contoured back, this chair offers optimal support and comfort.

Made from natural solid wood, this dining chair is incredibly sturdy and can last for generations.

The Enso Collection is inspired by Japanese woodworking philosophy, wherein “Enso” is the symbol of strength, elegance, and enlightenment. With 25 percent of our hand tools coming from Japan, it’s fitting to honor this centuries-old philosophy in our contemporary design line.

DIMENSIONS:

- 18.5" wide, 21" deep, and 36" tall with an 18.5" seat height.

MATERIALS:

The item is solid wood. All my wood arrives as rough-sawn lumber, which affords me extra flexibility with my material. I do my best to match boards for grain, color, and texture. That said, wood is natural and what you order may not look exactly like the picture, but it will be a unique work of art. All the wood used in T.Y. Fine Furniture is selected from naturally fallen trees from local Ohio Forests. The glues are age-old milk-based blends that are tested for food contact.

FINISH:

I believe wood should never be stained or sealed heavily. It robs the wood of its beauty and the end user of the pure experience and joy when buying an honestly made piece of furniture. I use my own wood finish which is an Oil+Wax blend. And because I treat my customers as I would my own family, my finish is 100% Organic and consists of only food-grade ingredients. Additionally, the finish is incredibly easy to maintain and repair. Here is some more information on my finish:

Some applications require a more waterproof coating, so please let me know if you would like your item finished with a hard coating style finish.
