This classic hardcover book from the 1940s has maroon marbled covers with a cloth spine that holds maroon writing (the title). There is minimal to no wear on the edges and corners of this vintage book. The book has a wax paper cover with the spine cut out for easy visibility. This cover shows wear along the edges. The spine shows light discoloration. All pages are in excellent condition and intact, attached, and tight.

The illustrations throughout this book are wonderful and in excellent condition.

Additionally this book comes with its original dark maroon cardboard slip case which is in good to very good condition for its age. It is suffering from some staining & chipping/wear along the edges.

It does have a musty smell & is now it is being stored in a Rubbermaid container with baking soda and a sweetgrass sachet by Etsian TrinitySoap . Overall the book is in good condition.

Book measures 11 1/4" x 8 3/4" (28.6 cm x 22.2 cm).

This vintage book would be a wonderful addition to any classic library.
