Giving as much info as possible with your initial email is helpful. We will work out how to remedy this issue.

Full refunds for purchase price will be issued if there has been a mistake on my part. Refunds will not be given for slight variations. Every item is handmade & therefore, may be slight variations between every item, even between similar items. Keep in mind that colors seen in the pictures can vary from device to device. No refunds will be issued for color variations between the physical item and the pictured item (unless there is a big variation, like your item is supposed to say READ and it says WINE). If you receive an item that is as ordered, and you simply want to return a non-custom item, then you pay the shipping cost to return it, and will receive a full refund of purchase price if the item is returned in its original condition.

Returning Custom Items

In general, I don't accept returns on custom items. If you received the item you ordered, in the size, color scheme and spelling that you ordered, then a refund will not be given on your item. Please read through the item description and see all of the 10 photos within the listing of any item you purchase (from any Etsy shop, not just this one). This helps you to know what to expect, and if the size fits your needs. I lay out the dimensions, use photos with a pencil for comparison to size for a visual, and offer different sizes to fit each customer's budget and space / size needs. I do offer custom letter options, and am happy to help you find the letters you love for your sign. Etsy doesn't offer a way for sellers to showcase letter samples in an easy way that buyers can see, so I am working on uploading my letter choices to an offsite viewing library, so you can easily choose your letters. BUT, I always offer a FREE mock-up proof sample of letters, so that we can begin choosing letters you love... so please simply reach out and let me know the name or word you'd like to see in photo letters, and the colors and theme that you're going for, and I'll get that sent to you and we can swap out letters from there. Super fun & easy!

Why do some listings charge for a proof and others offer it as FREE?

I'm in the process of changing all of my listings to FREE mock-up proofs. I'm in the middle of working on this, so if you are wanting to purchase from a listing that seems to have an up-charge for a mock-up proof, then please reach out to me and let me know the situation and what word you'd like to order plus color scheme / theme. I can get that free mockup sent to you at no charge and then we can go from there in swapping out letters to find the ones you love for your sign. No pressure to purchase.

Returning items without pre-approval.

Etsy + My shop policies do not accept forced returns. If you return your item to me without first contacting me, then your item will not be refunded. Please contact me first before returning an item. I don't accept returns on custom items. Non-custom items may qualify for a return, when received in the original condition that it was shipped out to you, but again, please contact me, the seller, first, before forcing a return. Where do you get your Photo Letters?

Every letter in my designs begins with my own original photography. I capture objects & textures that naturally form each letter, then thoughtfully curate them into a cohesive, handcrafted piece. I offer a wide range of themes and color palettes and will always do my best to design within your requested style. Because each letter is created from real photographed objects, availability may vary slightly depending on the word or name. When needed, I photograph additional images to maintain authenticity. Through my Custom Theme Studio, I can also artistically refine tone, texture, and color so every letter flows seamlessly — resulting in a design that feels intentional, balanced, and uniquely yours.

Contacting the customer with proofs / questions or issues...

If you order an item and select an option when you check out, but leave notes that indicate that you'd like something besides what you've ordered and paid for, I will message you in Etsy (and send a back up to your regular email) to clarify this discrepancy, see what you'd like and if you need to pay an additional amount. If there is no response from you after 48 hours from when the message was sent, I will either move forward and make your item if I have enough info, or cancel and refund your item if I don't have enough information. Please check your Etsy email and also the email you have listed on your Etsy account (and make sure THAT email is up to date) so that Etsy sellers can get ahold of you with questions, in general. Dust with a dry cloth, when needed.
Please keep dry & away from extreme heat & cold
I photograph all of the letters that I use on my signs.
We cut, sand & paint the wood. I affix my original photo letter collage permanently to the wood and a protective layer over the top.
Keeping the buyer & giftee in mind, as shown in the photos and noted, these signs aren’t framed in glass. This results in a “no shatter” sign - a durable, unique finished piece that will display well over time.
