Barbie with a Brain instead of a Head.

This Brain is approx 5 cms long. The Barbie is the size of your standard Barbie, about 26cms tall. This lady is a copyright 1966 barbie body. I'm not sure of her original date of manufacture.

The Brain is made from pure wool fleece & needle felted. It is glued to the neck stem and is very securely in place.

Although Barbie is a toy, this piece is not for children and should be used as a decoration only.

This Barbie body is in good condition with no chew marks or unusual bends.

Please be aware this doll has a vintage storage smell to the plastic used in her legs. I have washed her in vinegar and will also store with baking soda, but she is likely to retain some of that smell.

Why barbie with a brain? I often get the initial laugh of "Ha, barbie with a brain." When I was a child I had doctor Barbie. When my youngest sister was a child she had something called Bratz, which didn't have a job (as far as I could tell). So for me, Barbie with a Brain is about Barbie, despite being a big breasted, tiny waist figure (Her boobies really aren't that big and my Nana had a tiny waist), being a working woman and being a doll who was taking on inspiring roles for girls to play out.
