All sizes are approximate due to the material used and variability of handmade custom work. Please read descriptions carefully and it is recommended that to better visualize the size to use a measuring tape on the floor.

Kat's Out o'the Bag does its best to ensure the highest quality products but care is required to maintain the life of your item.

You quilts should be machine washed with cool or tepid water with a mild detergent. Either dry until slightly damp or just lay flat to dry.

Wall hangings only need dusting regularly and tumble in the drier without heat will bring life back to your wall hanging.

Quilts will be shipped in a vacuum sealed storage bag to protect the quilt and save on shipping. If sending clothes for a memory quilt, it is recommended that you ship in a vacuum sealed storage bag and your quilt will be returned in the same bag.

Most items are shipping priority mail. If other shipping method is used, you will be informed before completion.

Please do not cut your items. Any items that are precut and require additional work to make them usable in the quilt will be charged an additional fee of $5 per item.

All memory items should be freshly washed, if available, without fabric softener. If items are heavily soiled, you will be charged a cleaning fee to prepare the items for quilting. If the items are lightly soiled, Kat's Out o'the Bag is not responsible for the "dirty" portion of your memory quilt.

It is suggested that you use a vacuum storage bag that can be purchased at your local WalMart or hardware store. This will protect your item as well as save on shipping. You quilt will be returned in the bag is it fits. Otherwise, another bag will be provided.

This is a difficult question to answer and many factors play into the final results. But I have tried to lay out some guidelines to go by and are by no means set in concrete. Please contact me for your custom order.

The estimates are based on the popular design with random blocks. For a more traditional memory quilt, less items will be needed. Contact me for more details.

A wall hanging 36" square

it needs 70-125 pieces (closer to 100)

Reservations for 2022 are now being accepted. Due to the nature of customized work, the reservation fee ($100) is non-refundable but will be applied to the 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin work. The deposit and your items if applicable will be required approximately two months before your reservation date. Your product will be finished within 2 months after I receive both your deposit and items. The balance is required before delivery of your product. Shipping is free and includes tracking and insurance.
